Lindsay Lucas is a songwriter, producer, vocalist, and mentor originally from New York.

Known largely for her smooth-but-smoky vocals and vocal impersonations, Lindsay has toured as a background vocalist for bands Soulive and Lettuce, demoed vocals for Jill Scott, and is the voice of New York in multiple NYCGO campaigns. A Berklee College of Music alum, Lindsay led a three year residency at America’s oldest Jazz club, the renowned Wally’s Cafe, as a household artist and songwriter where she wrote, arranged, and directed her live shows with new original music every week.

As the daughter of revered producer and jingle house owner David Lucas and accomplished composer Jayne Critelli, Lindsay’s ability to creatively shape-shift as a songwriter/producer began at a young age. Listening to her parents write, produce and arrange 30 second songs to sell products aided in cultivating her quick pen and wide-range versatility for catchy hooks. Learning from her father, Lindsay has developed songwriting skills and a mentoring leadership that has garnered her the nickname of “the captain” by writing colleagues.

Showcasing her writing abilities as a singer and rapper on social media, Lindsay has attracted over 17 thousand Instagram followers, being reposted by songwriting and producer legends such as Brian Alexander Morgan, Questlove, Denaun Porter, and Lalah Hathaway.

Lindsay has had multiple placements as a writer, producer, and singer, for jingles, television and film with artists such as rappers Russ, JAY ELECTRONICA, Harry Fraud, Michael Christmas, musical comedy act Abby Feldman, and VYVA a project penned entirely by Lindsay and partner Chris Rizzo. VYVA’s forthcoming debut album will be released by Safari Riot in June 2022.
